We are a 100% Volunteer Non-Profit Organization. Every Show requires thousands of hours of volunteer help. Can you spare 4 or more hours? Sign up form below. |
Welcome to the ACT II Volunteer information page!
We are a diverse group of people from all walks of life who have a common love of theater and the performing arts. We're so glad you want to join us. AND, if you volunteer, you will have the opportunity to see shows for FREE and be a part of the team that brings "art-to-life" for our community.
We need a lot of volunteers to supply the energy to produce four quality shows each season. There are a variety of areas in which YOU can help. Whether you are a Senior or a high school or college student who is pursuing theater studies we highly encourage you to get involved. Any age, any background, experience or no experience, you are welcome to get involved!
EVEN IF YOU HAVE AS LITTLE AS ONE OR TWO EVENINGS TO HELP OUT...WE STILL NEED YOU!!
Here are the different volunteer areas we need assistance for:
Set Construction-This occurs two weeks prior to each show. Usually on a Saturday and Sunday. Set construction involves not only building sets but painting and dressing the set as well. No experience or special skills needed. We will find something for you!
Wardrobe and Costumes- Do you have an eye for fashion? Can you sew? Can you shop? Working closely with the Director there are many costume and prop needs that are required for every show. And, for costume intensive shows we need help backstage during performances too.
Box Office Help-This occurs an hour and a half prior to each show. You would help with ticket sales and box office needs before the show. And, with concessions at intermission if needed.
Ushers-This occurs one hour before each show. You would help preferred ticket owners find their seats, as well as make sure all audience members are seated before the performance. And, maybe help with concessions at intermission if needed.
Concession-This occurs pre-show and at intermission, and involves selling refreshments as well as tidying-up after intermission.
Crew/Production-If your expertise is sound, lighting, or props, you can be involved by helping during the run of a show. (You would need to be available for all 6 performances as well as several technical rehearsals the week prior to the show to participate.) Even if you have no experience there is a need for assistance backstage to help the actors, set changes, props, wardrobe, etc.
